John Medwedeff, Sculpture, Public Art, Corporate Art
STUDIO

Medwedeff Forge & Design produces large-scale public and site-specific sculpture, sculpture for exhibitions, and high-end architectural pieces for commercial, museum, public and residential projects. John Medwedeff established his studio in 1988 in Murphysboro, IL. His 6000 square foot space encompasses all of the equipment of a contemporary sculpture studio, a traditional blacksmith shop, as well as industrial metalworking technologies. A 30 foot tall crane bay allows for the vertical construction of very large pieces.

John Medwedeff personally designs and directs each project. He is able to move complex projects from the design stage through installation, coordinating efforts with those of clients, community arts groups, architects and general contractors while guaranteeing the master craftsmanship of finished work.

Medwedeff Forge & Design celebrated its 20 year anniversary in 2008. The studio operates along the lines of a mom & pop business, with John's wife and business partner Cynthia Roth working as executive director while John and his assistants work in the studio.

Most work is created on commission. If you would like to discuss commissioning a work for your home or site, contact us at 618  687-4304 or e-mail john@johnmedwedeff.com
